About Me

I’m a strawberry blonde who loves all things turquoise and lives by the motto, “you can never be overdressed or overeducated” (Oscar Wilde). I love my husband, my four sweet babies, baking from scratch, wearing vintage clothes, practicing yoga, vintage bargain hunting and antiquing, watching fashion documentaries, and being a fan of all the divisions of female bodybuilding. I have three university degrees yet live my life as a 1950s housewife (with internet access, thank goodness!). I never leave the house without dolling myself up and wish ladies still wore little white gloves and hats when they went shopping. I used to be a bikini competitor but I’ve put that on hold to have a bunch of babies, so I’m doing recaps of all the professional women’s competitions to stay current and motivated!

The purpose of this blog is to showcase all the beautiful turquoise things in my life. That’s right, every picture will have something turquoise in it. (Ok, let’s be honest, there are going to be some things that could easily be classified as mint green or aqua. But heck, that’s the beauty of turquoise!) More than that, it will be a way for me to practice gratitude for all the beautiful, wonderful, amazing things in my life that I so often forget to be thankful for. And if my little dose of turquoise brightens someone else’s day, that’s just another reason to be grateful!
