Winter Mountain Lake Maternity Photo Shoot…We just got back from our Babymoon in the Rocky Mountains. We stayed at the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, it was a fairy tale! We started our weekend getaway at the Comic Expo in Calgary, Alberta, saw the new Avengers movie in a super fancy theatre with reclining leather seats, then went to Lake Louise for maternity photos and massages. It was such a fun weekend…
Third Pregnancy Bump Comparison…Second trimester with my third baby has proven to be more tiring than the other babies, but at least less tiring than the first trimester! At 19 weeks I was even able to start exercising again, though running and even walking uphill on the treadmill were out due to some muscle cramping (felt like a side stitch but in the front). I have been doing Pilates every day and absolutely love it, I think I am a Pilates addict! I’m excited to be postpartum so that I can do all the floor moves laying on the back or tummy, it will be a fun change…
Simple Crochet Baby Blanket……Pregnancy nesting is a real thing. Like, for REAL! I now have single digit weeks to go before Baby #3 arrives, and the amount of stuff I am trying to get done in preparation is a bit insane. It’s not even the typical scrubbing of baseboards and building furniture (that stuff is already done), it’s craft projects like crocheting blankets and newborn hats and making art for the nursery…in other words, the important stuff…
Third Pregnancy Bump Comparison…Just when we were getting the swing of life with 2 under 2, we are adding another baby to the mix, #3under4 here we come! Our spacing turned out pretty fantastic—there are 19 months between Baby J and Baby K, and there will be 22 months (or less!) between Baby K and Baby #3. We aren’t finding out the sex because we have a girl and a boy, so we have everything we could need either way…
Freak Show Circus Theme First Birthday……
My Baby Boy recently turned one and while I was drawn to the adorable circus and carnival themed parties I saw online, they just lacked that pizzazz I wanted for my birthday boy. Especially because I had to live up to the Great Gatsby Themed First Birthday we threw for his big sister! I knew I wanted something masculine yet cute, but also unique and maybe even a bit edgy. I brainstormed our favorite travel locations and my mind was instantly drawn to Coney Island with its delicious hot dogs and ice cream and, of course, the Barnum & Bailey Greatest Show on Earth.
