My fourth pregnancy is almost over, I can hardly believe it! One of the most fun things for me is comparing how my bump looks in each pregnancy, and I have to say, I still can’t tell if I’m “high” or “low” or just somewhere in between. However, I definitely think this is my biggest bump–and biggest baby?–yet!
Third trimester has been going just fine, as expected with my glittery, sparkly, no complaints pregnancies. I can admit that I am more uncomfortable this time than ever before, which I attribute to just all that relaxin knowing exactly what to from all the previous pregnancy experience. I certainly am not waddling or holding my back or any of the cliché super pregnant poses you expect, but I absolutely feel a lot more pressure in my pelvis and my ribs than ever before. I know exactly where the baby is positioned and can feel precisely when his/her little legs are jammed up against my ribs–always in the exact same spot, too! There are a lot of big movements for my husband and the kids to feel, which always feels special that they can be included.
All the “New Baby To Dos” are done. The car seat is cleaned, the camera is charged, the bag is packed, the newborn laundry is sorted and cleaned, all the DIY crochet and other projects are complete. I only have a handful of appointments left with the midwife, it’s getting so close now. I even finished the nursery–just waiting on a sunny day so I can take pictures to show you all! So really, all that’s left is for this baby to arrive.
Weight: I do plan to weigh myself once labour begins so I have a “before,” but until then it really doesn’t matter. I know I’ve gained, that’s pretty obvious haha, but my rings still fit and my face doesn’t look toooo different, so I think I’m doing ok!
Cravings: Nope, not anymore. I feel like I’m not eating much these days, just out of lack of appetite and fatigue and being busy with the other babies. I do love me a good nacho night, but that’s nothing new, and boy does the baby kick like crazy after! Plus with the pandemic, we are ordering all our groceries ahead of time and picking them up curbside, so any particular food cravings have long passed by the time the groceries are on the counter. However, candy is consistently on the list, no need to even ask.
Bump: We still haven’t done the old wives tails to determine if it’s a boy or a girl, and I honestly can’t tell by the comparison photos, either (#1 and #3 were girls, #2 was a boy). But like I said, I think this bump is the biggest, probably because I’m just all totally stretched out. It does seem to be a completely different shape than the other times, a lot more round, no?

In addition to a post coming soon with the nursery reveal, we did some DIY pandemic friendly outdoor winter maternity photos that I can’t wait to show you, stay tuned!
